About Me

I work as a business reporter at Aging Media Network in Chicago. Previously I was an associate news editor at The ABIS Group, where I curated, edited and wrote newsletters focused on banking, animal health, and health care providers. I’m a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism (2014), where I majored in journalism with a focus on magazine writing and minored in creative fiction writing.

In the summer of 2013 I interned at Prime Publishing LLC as a writer and content editor. My duties there ranged from writing about DIY statement necklaces to gathering new seed bead patterns.

My writing experience includes The Youth Project, Northwestern Chronicle and North By Northwestern. I have also been employed by Medill’s Integrated Marketing Communications department, where among other duties, I edited Medill Matters, a research newsletter for Medill faculty.

When I’m not working or running long distances, I can be found reading anything ranging from books to long-form articles to sports recaps. I blog at Thoughts, Words, Deeds, Actions, where I discuss books, writing, and storytelling.
